“ Hands down the best Soul Food restaurant in town. The Lamb Lollipops are the bomb! The catfish fillets are amazing, the deserts the side dishes!!!..... I could go on and on about this place and the staff is so friendly and helpful!! Clean atmosphere, the games were on the tv’s, and the music was nice and soothing!! Just a great experience overall!! “ I saw the sign said lamb, which I have never seen at a Southern Maryland BBQ place. I couldn't get it off of my mind, so when I was leaving to come home to Northern VA, I passed that way again. My only regret is that I didn't get the full rack. The lamb chops are superb. I had already eaten at the birthday party I attended, but I had to sample one while it was still hot, so I stood next to the napkins thinking... Next time I'm definitely getting a full rack. I ate these delicious chops for breakfast this morning and now I am making up reasons to head back to Southern Maryland. Absolutely delicious!! ”
“ My initial stop was the Starbucks that was on the same shopping center as the place. I had a taste for soul food. As I walked in the restaurant, I received a warm welcome from the cashier and asked for the menu. The choices were very nice, given that mac and cheese is my favorite . I ordered the chicken with Mac and cheese with green beans (which I am happy that it's made out of turkey instead of pork, which I am glad that there are more options). I saw the banana pudding and was excited! I was recommended by the owner Greg to try since it's their number one seller of dessert. He was very pleasant and I told him that I will try it. This was a pleasant experience and I didn't get to finish everything because it was a lot, but my ratings are as follows: Food: 10 Customer service: 10 Thank you ”
“ I have patronized this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The owner and staff have always been friendly and professional. The dining area is always clean and condiment area is clean and fully stocked. My go to menu items are the Brisket, Old Bay Wings, Mac & Cheese and collards or green beans. I've tried the ribs and they tender and flavorful. I took my mom for the first time early this week and she finished her ribs & fish in the car before I could get her home. Because this is good ol' comfort food I do not eat here often. But when I want a filling meal this is my go to! I would definitely recommend this establishment! ”
“ I’m a pretty frequent customer (not weekly - just whenever I think about Jerk Chicken Wings) - but the Mac n Cheese is also good/great & the desserts are tasty. Good choice for a quick wholesome meal ”
“ I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! We went there tonight for the first time and are so mad that we did not happen upon them sooner. I believe it was the owner who helped us with our order. Superior customer service, friendly and accommodating. He explained everything on the menu being that this was our first time there. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac n cheese and the sweet potato fluff. Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend got the beef brisket sandwich, fried okra and collards. Being he's from Georgia, he's super picky in regards to any type of southern food. He's currently licking the box trying to savor every morsel. We still have the banana pudding and peach cobbler to eat but I'm sure it will be just as amazing. We have already decided that we will be getting dinner there again tomorrow night. It is definitely going to become a weekly dinner choice. Please, go support this wonderful locally-owned business and enjoy amazing food, you will not be disappointed! ”
“ My girlfriend and I learned of this restaurant today and decided to give it a shot. I am from Georgia and love Barbecue and southern cooking. I ordered the brisket sandwich meal and collards with fried okra. Now I’m mad cause I ate it all and didn’t know about this place sooner. The gentleman that took our order (may have been the owner) explained everything on the menu and chatted with us without the hurry up and order attitude. He was great. Place was super clean and smelled amazing. The food I got took me home immediately and I will be going back on a regular basis. Also had the southern banana pudding and loved that too. Fresh cooked food with excellent flavor and it did not take too long. Perfect place to grab a to go order or dine in. 2 Thumbs up!! ”
